The Edgars Creek Trail is situated between Main Street and Thomas Street in Thomastown. A planned upgrade involved replacing the existing sand path with a 400m concrete path to connect Main Street with the existing concrete path near the Thomas Street Reserve Community Pavilion.
The upgrade represented the first stage of a larger project aimed at addressing gaps in the city’s off-road bicycle network.
This project is supported by the Northern Metropolitan Trails Program which seeks to identify and fund off-road cycling and walking recreational trails in the northern metropolitan area.
Our team provided design services for the construction of the paved footpath, boardwalk, retaining walls, and raised intersections in Main Street, German Lane, and Thomas Street. Drainage improvement was an important part of this project, and we successfully resolved existing drainage issues.
As a company, we are committed to enhancing community spaces and promoting healthy lifestyles.
We are proud to have played a role in improving community infrastructure, working closely with the local council to deliver the project on time and within the allocated budget.
