Geelong College – Junior School

The award-winning Junior School at Geelong College was designed to provide contemporary new facilities that foster learning and thinking. In alignment with the master plan for the growing student population, Miglic MacLeod worked closely with Geelong College and architect John Wardle Studio on this significant project that won the 2021 Henry Bairstow award for educational architecture.

The structural engineering works performed by Miglic MacLeod included:

  • Design and certification of several new buildings
  • Alterations and additions to existing structures
  • Design of hard landscaping structures
  • Construction stage services with inspections, reviews and advice

Our civil engineering design works included:

  • Carpark and road pavements
  • Stormwater drainage infrastructure throughout
  • Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) compliance.

These enhancements will not only created capacity for the growing student population but also provided a sustainable and inspiring learning environment.
