The Northern School of Autism in Lalor upgrade and modernisation project will give students better learning opportunities. The project includes the demolition of five existing buildings and the construction of two new single storey buildings and associated site works.
The Northern School of Autism project is part of the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) funding program.
The Miglic MacLeod team was engaged to provide all structural and civil engineering services throughout the project life. These included lift shafts and stairways; load bearing walls, floors, columns, foundations, roofs and ramps for disabled access as specified on architectural drawings as well as all car parking/asphalt surfaces, concrete paths, car park drainage, kerbs and channels, stormwater drainage beyond the building line, surface runoff and retention devices, brick paved areas and landscaping irrigation systems.
