Peter Lalor Secondary College
Miglic MacLeod delivered the structural and civil engineering design, and associated construction stage services for the new Learning Building at Peter Lalor Secondary College.
Our contribution included the structural design of the new Learning Building and surrounding areas. We briefed and managed the geotechnical and environmental engineers to inform our design and subsequently delivered the structural design for the:
- Reinforced concrete footings and slabs
- Steel framed columns and roof structure
- Secondary steel framing for operable walls and façade support
- Landscape features
Upon completing the design, we provided a certificate of structural compliance.
Our civil team completed all civil engineering design works associated with the project including:
- All car parking and asphalt surfaces
- All pits and pipes to provide effective stormwater drainage
- Kerbs and channel
- Concrete pavements and paths
- Retaining walls
- Surface runoff and retention devices
- Coordination with landscape designer for surface water drainage and pavement design.
