Miglic Macleod recently undertook a comprehensive structural engineering assessment of the heritage-listed memorial grandstand and gates at Winchelsea’s Easter Reserve, located at 70 Hopkins Street. Our team meticulously evaluated the current condition and structural integrity of these significant historical assets. The assessment was conducted in strict accordance with the conservation practices outlined in the Australia ICOMOS Burra Charter, with particular attention to Articles 19 and 20. This ensured that our structural analysis was both thorough and respectful of the heritage value of the site.
The project included a detailed evaluation of the structural soundness of the building fabric, the preparation of a scope of works suitable for a cost estimate by a Quantity Surveyor, and the compilation of a comprehensive report. Miglic Macleod is proud to contribute to the preservation of such important heritage structures, leveraging our expertise in structural engineering to ensure their longevity and integrity.
