Austin Hospital

Austin Health, which administers Austin Hospital in Heidelberg, is the largest provider of tertiary health services and health professional education and research in the northeast of Melbourne.

Miglic MacLeod has completed numerous projects for Austin Health, including a feasibility study for the renovation and modification of level two of the Hospital's Harold Stokes Building to include an additional 14 operating theatres.

The feasibility study provided:

  • A review of the existing structural layout and drawings
  • Coordination with other engineers to enable installation of services
  • Loading plans and keys to assist with support of new equipment
  • Details and notes of the structural requirements for penetrations throughout the existing structure.

Our assessment and findings were presented in a detailed report of the existing structure and feasibility of the proposed renovation.
